This is Logan, one of my three children. He's introspective, quiet, has a hunched walk – typical of any young teenager – and laughs easily.Recently members of our extended family have been facing some tremendous hurdles and our hearts goes out to them. But I think it's in those moments that you truly realize how important family really is. We're grateful my grandparents instilled a strong sense of family in us.
Beyond my small immediate family are cousins, aunts and uncles – who take care of each other and gather together when one of us is wounded or taken. It really is a remarkable feat in a world focused on self.
